Wong Choong Han created Malaysian history today by becoming the first ever Malaysian to reach the finals of the World Championship tournament in Birmingham, England today. Choong Han defeated Korean player Shon Seung Mo 15-4, 15-5 which sees a tired Seung Mo trying his level best to match Choong Han's pace and varied gameplay but to no avail. Both players played very well today but Choong Han's gameplay was the most notable one where his net to net and drop shots were simply excellent and well timed against the opponent.
In tomorrow's final, Choong Han will meet either Bao Chunlai or Xia Xuanze where it will be a fight to the finish for both players. Choong Han stands a better chance at winning if Bao Chunlai wins Xia Xuanze as Choong Han doesn't have a good track record against Xia Xuanze. It all boils down to who is the better player and us Malaysians will be cheering for Choong Han all the way - Malaysia Boleh!
Edit :
Wong Choong Han will play against his nemesis Xia Xuanze in the finals! Xuanze defeated Bao Chunlai in straight games : 15-11, 15-7 in 46 minutes, almost the same amount of time that Choong Han took to defeat Shon Seung Mo. Hopefully, this time, Choong Han will emerge victorious after so many encounters with Xia Xuanze to become the first ever Malaysian to attain the World Championship title.
