Incident packed German Grand Prix

Today marks the most incident packed Grand Prix of the season during the start with a lot of the front-runners taken out due to a huge incident. The incident involved the championship contenders, namely Ralf Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello and Kimi Raikkonen. Some of the middle runners were also affected such as Justin Wilson, Ralph Firman and Heinz Harald Frentzen. It all started when Kimi Raikkonen tried to squeeze from the outside into turn one with Ralf Schumacher on the right side and Barrichello in the middle. With nowhere to go, Raikkonen crashed into the Ferrari and the carnage began. From my point of view, it seemed as though Kimi was the "starter" of all this but later in a statement, he refused to take blame from the incident and also, he will not blame anyone else on the incident.

Due to this incident, Kimi is now down to third place, behind Juan Pablo Montoya who easily won the Grand Prix in Hockenheim, Germany today. Michael Schumacher who was at one point in fourth place, managed to claw his way up to third and finally to second, after an incredible move over Jarno Trulli which later saw Schumacher's rear tire being punctured (or rather, exploded due to the prolonged usage) and had to enter the pits to replace that tire. Because of this, he lost 6 points and had to settle for 2 points instead in 7th place during the closing stages of the Grand Prix.

On to Badminton news. Wong Choong Han still could not defeat Xia Xuanze today even after trying so very hard but ended up losing 15-6, 15-13, 15-6. To be honest, i think Choong Han could have done better if not for the mistakes that he made, particularly the net to net shots that always seem to either fail or get tapped by Xuanze. From what i have observed in today's match, Wong Choong Han made a lot of unforced errors which saw him losing many points and services to Xuanze. It isn't because of Xuanze's gameplay that made him lose the points, it was because of his own mistakes which caused him to lose to Xuanze yet again. This will be the 8th time Choong Han ends up losing to Xuanze as he has never defeated Xuanze before. He has to buck up on certain areas particularly his net play which in my opinion is not very good - a lot of his net shots were too high (for a professional badminton player that is) which allowed the opponent (Xuanze) to kill his shots easily.

The only consolation was that he became the first ever Malaysian to reach the finals and looks like we'll just have to make do with that.
